STEP 4 OF 4: Choose Lenses Material
A high index lens provides a number of benefits to the wearer:
- Are thinner and less noticeable in the profile of the glasses.
- High index lenses reduce eye distortion. (also known as the "coke bottle" effect)
- These lenses are more lightweight making the glasses more comfortable to wear.
I really wanted grey wood-look frames and I was lucky these fit and look good! I have a little, round face. These were the only ones I found. I did have issues getting the arms adjusted (multiple places and attempts, got a bit bent out of shape) but were ok in the end. I use sticky pads on the inside of the bridge, which I replace every few months. I've had the frames almost two years. I'd love a similar finish in a bit more of a cat eye. But these rectangular ones are still great. Unique. Very convincingly wood-like!
Great glasses, i just wish the temples were a bit shorter.
Love them! They didn’t hold up too well to pavement when I fell on my face skateboarding on Father’s Day, but what glasses would? I’m reordering the exact same pair today.
great fit & look and the folks at V&Y are always so easy to work with/order from
Vint and York's website was easy to navigate. The ability to see the glasses on is reassuring. The styles and guides were informative and helpful. The packaging is gorgeous. Overall, V&Y is efficient and high quality: very impressed and appreciative. Thank you V&Y.
